Clinician for Community-Based Trauma Programs #1315

Hours: Full Time

Job Description

A full-time office and community-based position with benefits, designed to serve adults and families whose lives have been impacted by trauma.  This clinician provides assessment, psychoeducation, skills practice, psychotherapy, and treatment resource coordination to help clients develop stabilization strategies and establish emotional and psychological safety in the broader context of their lives.  Trauma treatment services are team-oriented and collaborative with clients and other providers; they may include individual and group modalities integrated with appropriate resources available within the agency and/or wider community.


Job Requirements

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide clinical assessment and implement stage one trauma treatment interventions to promote sense of safety and development of stabilization skills.  
  • Provide therapy in conjunction with support services that include but are not limited to: work with clients in home or community-based settings, benefits access, parenting support, independent living skills and transportation of clients, when clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with client and trauma treatment team with referrals to appropriate providers and community support services.
  • Attend regular staff meetings, trainings, individual and group supervision.
  • Maintain timely case records in electronic system.


The successful candidate will have the following skills and/or experience:

  • Knowledge of and experience in phase-oriented trauma treatment with adults & families
  • Demonstrated clinical interviewing and assessment skills, both oral and written
  • Competence providing both individual and group therapy
  • Ability to identify and access intra-agency and community resources
  • Experience in home/field-based services
  • Excellent communication, organizational and case management skills
  • Ability to initiate and participate in treatment team meetings and client advocacy     
  • Reliability, timeliness and the flexibility to work both independently and as a team member



Experience working in home-based settings helpful.  Must have safe vehicle and clean driving record. This is a regular full-time position with benefits.  Must be willing to work some early evening hours.  



Education Requirements

Master’s level clinician with knowledge of the effects of trauma and experience working with populations impacted by trauma.
