Hours: Full Time
This position supports two young men with goals to access their community;
25 hours/week will be spent engaging and encouraging a young man to participate, to the best of his abilities, and to assist him in getting his sensory and communication needs met.
10 hours a week will be supporting a young man reach his community and health goals. The ability and desire to be active is a must. An interest in sports is helpful.
Support person must be willing to attend First in Fitness for swimming, muscle toning and cardio training, must also be willing to assist in teaching independent living skills for both positions.
Characteristics should include: organization, flexibility, patience, open-mindedness, sense of humor, empathy and respect towards all people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
Benefited 35 hours / week.
Experience with autism is preferred.
Must have valid driver’s license, excellent driving record and the use of a safe, reliable vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
