Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group can be helpful for teens who have trouble tolerating difficult emotions, have engaged in self-destructive coping behaviors, often make impulsive, emotionally driven decisions, have trouble asking for help effectively and struggle with relationships.  The group aims to reduce problematic behavior patterns by teaching and practicing new skills.  DBT skills group includes 5 areas; core mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and walking the middle path.   The group consists of four 6 week modules. …
