Adolescent DBT Skills Group

An event every week that begins at 3:30 pm on Thursday, repeating indefinitely
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group can be helpful for teens who have trouble tolerating difficult emotions, have engaged in self-destructive coping behaviors, often make impulsive, emotionally driven decisions, have trouble asking for help effectively and struggle with relationships. The group aims to reduce problematic behavior patterns by teaching and practicing new skills. DBT skills group includes 5 areas; core mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and walking the middle path. The group consists of four 6 week modules. The group is ongoing and has open enrollment. Group facilitators will meet with applicants to determine appropriate fit for the group and new members will be added to the group (space permitting) at the start of the new module. If the group does not have space, approved group members will be placed on a waiting list and will join the group as space permits. Please contact group facilitators with any questions.
