ABOUT INTERNSHIPS at WCMHS: We believe in the importance of providing opportunities for students to gain professional experience in community mental health, developmental disability services and substance use services. WCMHS works with multiple colleges and universities to provide supervised field practicums, allowing students to apply their academic classroom learning in an experiential field placement. 

Pending capacity of programs, WCMHS provides unique opportunities for school-based, community based, residential based and clinical based internships. WCMHS internship opportunities reflect the clientele we support. These internships will work with individuals with mental health needs, substance use, and/or developmental needs. 

WCMHS is open to interns varying educational goals as long as they align with the Agency’s mission and standards of practice. This could be an intern working towards their associates, bachelor’s or master’s degree.
